Balearic islands
The Balearic archipelago is located off the East coast of Spain, consisting of four main important islands, Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Cabrera and some other smaller, all of which are great destinations for a yacht charter. They are the most popular and best-known sailing area in Spain and are visited by millions of tourists.
Mallorca is the biggest one and the main point of destination for charters, because of its good flights connexions. The island is so unique having a little of everything: beautiful beaches, nature, architecture and night life. The biggest port is in Palma de Mallorca, but there are also many smaller marinas in Port Alcudia, Puerto de Pollensa, Puerto Portals etc.
Menorca is smaller but equal in beauty, recommend if you prefer more the quiet and smaller bays. You can visit the marinas Ciudatella and Mahon and lots of gulfs and incredible bays as Cala Turqueta and Cala Pregonda.
Ibiza is the most famous spot for night life and luxury yachts, and it is surrounded for beautiful spots to anchor. Ibiza town, Portinax and San Antonio are some of the famous marinas to pass by
Formentera is more understated and the smallest, least-known island of Spain. they are annually awarded with the blue flag of the EU because of the blue turquoise water very similar to the Caribbean. It is perfect for snorkeling and relaxing times during your trip.
